Pig and Chicken orders are officially closed for this season. If you would like to be on the list for next year give us a shout!
We had an unexpected lamb born to one of our young 1/2 Corriedale 1/2 Romney ewes. During shearing we noticed her udder was filling and a week later she gave birth to a tiny ewe-lamb. Check her out on our facebook page.
The greenhouse is coming along slowly thanks to the abundance or rocks that we grow here. I sometimes feel like Charlie Brown during Holloween...."I got a rock :-("! We should be done with the ground posts soon. The rest should go very quickly (Tomatoes to get in the greenhouse). Wish us luck!
The first round of lettuce, arugula, spinach, baby kale and radishes went in the ground this week and more lettuces were started. Swiss Chard. Kalettes and Napa (Chinese) Cabbage will go in shortly after the coming cold snap.... keeping a close eye on the weather as most farmers do. Darin (Mrs. Farmer) is potting up eggplant and Jalepeno Peppers today and Leif (Mr. Farmer) is working on bed prep for transplanting.
Hope you all are staying safe and healthy.
